Materials
Surfaces and framing options for Artfolio artworks.
Canvas
Canvas surfaces
Surface sheen and weave give the same artwork a different character. Choose from three canvas types.

Matte canvas
An understated surface with a natural appearance.

Satin canvas
Distinctive sheen and rich colour.

Heavily textured canvas
A pronounced weave with a distinctive texture.
Gold and silver canvas
The metallic base shows through lighter, less densely printed areas. Its sheen changes with the light and viewing angle.

Gold canvas
A warm golden sheen and a distinctive surface glow.

Silver canvas
A cool silver sheen with an elegant metallic character.
Stretcher depths
Stretcher depth determines how far the canvas projects from the wall. The same artwork is shown in three depths for comparison.

2 cm depth
A slim profile with subtle depth.

4 cm depth
A defined side profile and a more prominent presence.

8 cm depth
A deep profile with a strong spatial presence.
Canvas framing
A floating frame leaves a narrow gap around the canvas. We offer framing solutions for canvases with depths of 2, 4 and 8 cm.

Minimal frames
A narrow edge with a delicate shadow gap.

Natural wood frames
Natural grain and the warmth of wood.

Metallic finishes
Gold and silver tones with an elegant sheen.

Classic profiles
Curved profiles and prominent framing.
Acrylic glass
A print mounted behind acrylic glass gains a glossy surface and optical depth. It stands on its own on the wall, with no frame needed.

Surface and depth
A glossy surface with subtle optical depth.

Precise finishing
Clean edges and a consistent profile.

Frameless presentation
The artwork takes centre stage on the wall.
Framed and glazed prints
Paper surfaces
The paper surface affects the sheen of a print and the appearance of its details. We match the paper to the character of the artwork.

Matte paper
A smooth, matte surface with an understated appearance.

Satin photo paper
A subtle satin sheen and rich colours.

Textured fine art paper
A tactile paper texture with an artistic character.
Mounts
A mount leaves space around the print. Its colour, width and layering shape the relationship between the artwork and its frame.

Single mount
A clean appearance with a finely cut bevel.

Double mount
Two layers with a subtle inner line of colour.

Deep mount
A pronounced bevel for greater visual depth.

Coloured mount
A complementary shade for a harmonious result.
Frame profiles
We select the frame profile and finish together with the print, mount and setting.

Ornate frames
Rich ornament and gilded finishes.

Traditional frames
Timeless wood finishes and shaped profiles.

Modern frames
Clean lines and restrained forms.

Simple frames
Simple profiles that let the artwork take centre stage.
Glazing
We choose glazing to suit the artwork’s location and the light in the room. The main differences concern reflections and the visibility of detail.

Gloss glass
Crisp detail with visible reflections.

Matte glass
Diffused reflections and a slightly softer appearance.

Museum glass
Minimal reflections and clearly visible detail.
Custom and exceptional sizes
The size limits in the planner do not represent the limits of production. By individual arrangement, canvas artworks can be made in sizes up to 3 × 6 metres. We tailor production to the artwork, its destination and transport requirements.
At larger sizes, the decorative frame may require joints. We discuss the framing solution and the visibility of any joints in advance so you can make an informed choice about the final finish.
