Artfolio is my growing collection of digital artworks. The work draws on nearly 30 years of painting, classical art training and a considered approach to how images occupy a space.

Intensive drawing and painting practice laid the foundations for my artistic education before university. I continued studying academic drawing, proportion and composition at the Institute of Applied Arts of the University of West Hungary in Sopron, where I earned a degree in architectural design. Drawing, painting, sculpture and art history were closely connected with the study of space and materials.

Making painted copies of works by masters from different periods deepened my practice. Studying their approaches enriched my understanding of colour, form and materials, which became part of my own work. The surreal world of figures wearing hats is a central theme of my figurative painting. I opened my first gallery in 2003; since 2007, I have worked and exhibited at my gallery in Törökbálint.

My digital work began with fine art prints of my own paintings, followed by the transformation and enlargement of details from painted surfaces. Magnifying small gestures and paint textures opened up new compositional possibilities. Digital tools have extended this experimental practice.

I develop and select Artfolio works with attention to composition, colour relationships, formal consistency and the coherence of details. I now apply the spatial understanding gained during my studies to image-making: scale, aspect ratio, surface and setting all inform my creative decisions. Consistent artistic standards unite the stylistic diversity of the collection.

I regard production as part of the creative process. With our own printing, canvas stretching and framing workshop facilities, we work with custom-made canvases and framing solutions. We coordinate every stage, from developing the digital image to choosing its medium and frame, with particular attention to the details and surface effects at the finished size.
